SERENA SL., in collaboration with IRIDA A.I. TECHNOLOGIES, we carried out a new installation of the Birdprotect system in Zaragoza. 🦉🌿
This innovative bird protection system, developed by IRIDA, uses advanced detection and deterrence technology to protect birds from collisions with wind turbines.
The Birdprotect system uses high-definition cameras and machine learning algorithms to identify birds in real time and emit deterrent sounds that steer them away from danger zones. In the event that birds do not respond to the sounds, the system can temporarily stop the wind turbine to avoid collisions.
This installation reflects SERENA and IRIDA’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life of Terrestrial Ecosystems, by protecting biodiversity and minimising the environmental impact of wind farms. 🌍💚

Este innovador sistema de protección de avifauna, desarrollado por IRIDA, utiliza tecnología avanzada de detección y disuasión para proteger a las aves de colisiones con aerogeneradores.
El sistema Birdprotect emplea cámaras de alta definición y algoritmos de aprendizaje automático para identificar aves en tiempo real y emitir sonidos disuasorios que las alejan de las zonas de peligro. 🐦🔊 En caso de que las aves no respondan a los sonidos, el sistema puede detener temporalmente el aerogenerador para evitar colisiones.
